Sienna Rodriguez – Mustangs Ahead

Seniors icon(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The senior class has a few important dates coming up.

The senior hoodie design was voted on at the last senior class meeting, and design number two won. The hoodie is $25 and the last day to place an order is Nov. 13.

Another date to keep in mind is Dec. 31. The class of 2019 with have until then to pay their senior fees, which are also $25. After that date prices will go up.

Cap and gown orders are $46 and after Dec. 31 the price will start to rise.

All these fees should be turned in to LRHS senior class adviser and math teacher Ann Fleury in room 572.

The senior class also had their first privilege this month, Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits. The next privilege will be on Nov. 15, all seniors must have their privilege cards with them at the time of the privilege. If seniors do not have their cards, they will not be able to receive the privilege and the replacement fee for a card is $5.

Another upcoming deadline is the mandatory career shadow project, which is due on Nov. 13. Seniors must find a prospective career and spend a minimum of three hours in that workplace.

After shadowing, the student needs to fill out the evaluation form in the career shadow packet. Then they create a six-slide PowerPoint presentation with information about the career.

The project will be submitted to social studies teachers for a grade. Anyone with questions or concerns can contact LRHS career and college adviser Michelle Todoroff at 941-727-6100, ext. 2201.
