Jenna Hernandez– Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- With the holidays just around the corner, the LRHS Key Club is giving back this year at the Manatee food bank. Members have a chance to give back and serve hot meals to people in need.
The event is scheduled for Nov. 19 at the Manatee food bank, 3231 59th Dr. E, Bradenton. Members not serving food will be sorting canned good with more volunteers at the event.
The event is cut up into three shifts throughout the day. Shift 1 is from 8–10 a.m., shift 2 is from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., and shift 3 is from 12-2 p.m.
“Nothing feels as good as helping someone who really needs it at events like this,” said LRHS Key Club vice president junior Lindsey Hyer. Hyer oversees assigning jobs to all members and keeping track of everyone’s hours.
Mustangs who want more information on these events can attend one of the meetings, scheduled for every other Tuesday in room 509, or visit the Key Club website. Anyone interested in joining the LRHS Key Club contact Gabrielle Carroll at email@example.com.
