Sports(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS varsity football finished a rough season last week. Friday’s senior night game against the Desoto County Bulldogs brought their number of losses to 10, concluding the season.

Lakewood Ranch suffered a defeat of 41-6 at home.

The win column is left empty this season for the Mustangs, but they now have the offseason to reorganize.

Lakewood Ranch took an early lead at the start of the game with a field goal from senior kicker Travis Freeman.

Senior defensive tackle Stefano Lonardo stated, “We drove right down the field on our opening drive.”

Looking back on the season, senior defensive back Jayden Carter said he appreciates his teammates.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better group to play with,” he said.

Next up, the Mustangs plans to play the Booker Tornadoes in the 2019 Spring game.
