Mustang swimmers are preparing for their district championships

The district team will consist of 18 girls and 13 boys. Coaches Kyle Steinberg and Julie Santiago informed all the swimmers which events they were placed in, which they are now training for.

The swimmers have been working hard this past week, even with no school on Monday. Santiago sent a workout to the swimmers who are not attached to a club team to swim at the Lakewood Ranch YMCA.

The Mustangs are focused on their training and are hoping to improve their times at the swim meet.

This year’s Mustangs repeated as Manatee County swim champions.

On Oct. 26. the team will have their district dinner, which is for everyone that has been on the team this season.

At this dinner, the swimmers will vote for the 2019-20 swim team captains. Two girls and two boys will be picked. After the names are tallied, the coaches save the information and announce them at the end of season banquet.
