(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This fall Lakewood Leaders is helping out at Hunsader Farms’ annual Pumpkin Festival. Volunteers are assigned to work at various game booths, such as bowling, golf, and fishing games.

The games are to help raise money for various charities in the area, specifically All Children’s Hospital and Children’s Dream Fund, while fair-goers have a good time.

LRHS junior Chris Georgas said, “It’s a great way to support a good cause and help kids have some fun.”

Sophomore Isabella Estrada is a first-time Lakewood Leaders member and volunteered at the Pumpkin Festival this past Saturday.

“It was really hot, but it was cool to be able to work with the kids,” Estrada said.

Games cost a dollar to play and the children can win different amounts of tickets they can exchange for prizes.

The Pumpkin Festival runs 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Oct. 13-14, 20-21, 27-28. Admission is $10 with an additional $5 parking fee.  Any child under 10 gets in for free.

Lakewood Leaders members interested in participating can sign up outside room 587.
