Christian Marrero– Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- There is a new club at LRHS for students who enjoy science. The Marine Conservation Club has their first meeting Tuesday.
The club plans to participate in beach clean-ups, fundraisers, donate to marine organizations, and educate the community about earth’s oceans.
Club adviser and LRHS marine biology Larry Hickman wants students to know, “You can join the club by coming to the first meeting and filling out an application with $25 for shirts and club fees.”
Prospective members can also speak to junior Audrey Dixon, sophomore Daphne Davis, and sophomore Jacob Setser about joining the club.
The club meets every other Tuesday, starting Oct. 23, in room 411.
