Bella Sellmer – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS volleyball Mustangs continue their playoff run when they take on Ft. Myers Riverdale at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

This game will be an elimination game, so if the ladies win, they will continue to advance within the region.

Junior Anna Shelby Dees said, “I am super excited to be advancing to regionals and I can’t wait for the game on Wednesday. I think our game against Riverdale it’s going to be a good game and I am excited to see how we do against them. I am super proud of all the girls and how well we have been playing and I hope we continue to do so.”

Junior Samantha Vandersommen agreed, “I am glad we are advancing to regionals and I hope we are able to continue to advance through the season. We have been working hard and I am proud of how all of us have been playing.”

Last week the Mustangs lost the district championship game at Venice High School 0-3.

Senior Maddie Koczersut said, “We fought hard until the end and I was happy with how everyone played. I am glad we were able to advance to regionals and I hope we continue to advance. We have had a great season and I hope we continue to succeed in our upcoming game. I am excited to head to Fort Myers to play them and I can’t wait to see how we do.”
