clubs(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Last Tuesday the Latin Club had its monthly meeting in room 930. The club is looking to grow from 21 to 28 members and have a full-fledged team that goes to all competition events.

The Latin Club competes in vocabulary, grammar, Greek culture, Latin culture, and Greek mythology at both the regional and state levels.

Club secretary sophomore Carly Baker looks forward to the future events, “Right now, we are planning on going to Florida Junior Classic League (FJCL) regional and state competitions.”

Another interesting event that the Latin club plans on attending is Olympia. “These are athletic events like running and hurdles,” said Baker.

The fee to join Latin club is 20 dollars and meetings are held on Tuesday mornings once a month in room 930.
