Bella Sellmer – Mustangs Ahead

Sports(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS volleyball girls have made it to the district semi-finals this Tuesday, Oct. 16.

The Mustangs’ opponent depends on the winner of the Manatee High school vs. Palmetto High school game, which will take place on Monday.

This will be the final home game for the girls and your fans’ last chance to cheer on the varsity volleyball team as they fight to make it to the district championship game.

Junior Anna Shelby Dees said, “We are so lucky to be able to have one more home game of the season. I hope the stands are a packed as they have been for our past games. I am super excited that the team has made it this far and I hope we continue to make it farther in the season.”

This game is a pink out and starts at 7 p.m. at the Ranch.

Coach Perri Hankins said, “With our district second seed, we are hosting the winner (of Manatee vs. Palmetto) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. to see who moves on to the District Tournament Finals. This will be our last home match and will be a pink out to support breast cancer research. We are calling all Mustangs out to the gym for some volleyball and fun.”
