Sports(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Conditioning for the upcoming LRHS lacrosse season is set to begin this week.

Boys are to meet from 6-7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at the racquetball courts and girls will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Players are required to bring a lacrosse stick along with tennis shoes.

Sophomore defenseman Jacob Wolf said, “I’m excited we get to work as a team before the season.”

Junior attackman Riley Vanskiver stated, “This will be good for the team, I believe it’ll get us ready for spring.”

This year, LRHS lacrosse becomes a registered varsity sport and is a part of the district, meaning the team is eligible for playoffs.

Tryouts for next season are going to be at least two-days long and are scheduled for late January.
