(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Most everyone loves to eat, especially eat out at a restaurant. Around LRHS, students have a large variety of favorite places they like to eat, and they don’t hesitate for a minute to give advice when it comes to the best food.

There are many great restaurants and fast food places in the Lakewood Ranch area. Whether it’s a fast fix or sit-down meal, Mustangs know what and where is the best in town.

“I really enjoy eating at Panera Bread, I usually get a chicken caesar salad with chicken noodle soup,” said senior Breanna Shaw. Panera Bread Company is a chain store of bakery-café casual restaurants with fast service and great food.

Fast food has become a major part of the American diet, and a new report from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveals just how many adults eat it. Between 2013 and 2016, about 37% of US adults consumed fast food on any given day, according to the data brief published by the National Center for Health Statistics.

“I eat pizza and garlic knots from Verona’s all the time, I would eat it every day if I could,” said freshman Megan Murphy.  Many students at LRHS explain that their favorite meal is pizza.

According to the site “Visually,” America’s favorite foods include pizza, ice cream, and hot dogs. The top picked food in America is hamburgers, which the average American consumes 3 times a week. The top picked grocery item that Americans buy is bread.

Some Mustangs also have a favorite school lunch too. “My favorite meal from the school cafeteria would have to be the buffalo chicken pizza that is served on Fridays,” said senior Alexa Sharp.

Americans love to eat, and as famous chef Julia Child said, “People who love to eat are always the best people.”
