Gavin Laielli – Mustangs Ahead

Sports(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- As Mustang sports move into October, teams such as lacrosse are starting their training for the upcoming season.

Mustangs girls head coach Sammy Stoltz said, “I believe we will perform better than last year because of our more experienced players and effective plays.”

Stoltz advises new players willing to tryout to begin training early and run more frequently to improve overall performance.

Senior Josh Rossi explained, “I am very excited for next season, I have already started getting ready by practicing with my friends and I feel like we’re going to a whole different team next year.”

Last year was the first for LRHS lacrosse.  The boys finished 7-6, the girls went 3-10.

The meeting for lacrosse athletes was on Oct. 2 and tryouts will begin Jan. 28 and 29.
