(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Mustangs volleyball team have an upcoming game this Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Sarasota High School.

Freshman will be starting at 5 p.m., with junior varsity (JV) following, and varsity finishing it off.

This will be the last district game of the season for the ladies, helping to determine how far they will make it within the district.

Junior Anna Shelby Deese said, “I am so excited to play Sarasota again. We did great the first time we played them, and I hope we perform as well as we did last time. This is our last district game and I really hope we win because that would place us second in the district. Winning against the will cause us to move on in the season.”

On Oct. 3, freshman will be playing here at the Ranch. This will be a freshman-only game.

Last Tuesday, the ladies played at the Ranch against Braden River High School. Freshman, JV, and varsity all took home the win.

This was a district match for varsity, adding another district win to their belt making them 3-1 with one more to go.

Senior Jordan Smucker said, “I was super excited to play against Braden River High School for our senior night. Being able to beat them on such an important night was a great feeling. I can’t wait to see how far we make it this season as we are off to a great start.”
