clubs(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – On Sept. 19 LRHS’s Cooking Club held its first meeting after school in room 510.

LRHS art teacher and club adviser Elizabeth Henry will host cooking club meetings open to everyone. The club hosts to encourage students to socialize and have fun while preparing delicious snacks.

The meetings will be from 2:30 -4 p.m. twice a month on Wednesdays.

“Students are welcome to come, have fun, hang out, eat good food, and chat,” said Henry.

The club will be limited to roughly 30 students on a first-come-first-serve basis.

There will be a new snack recipe each week that the club will make. Last week, the club made Rice Krispy Treats.

“Cooking club is for anyone that is interested in learning new recipes or collaborating with other chefs,” stated Henry.
