(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS media center gets a regular décor update based on an annual theme.  The “Mustangs Ahead” Heritage media center coordinators are displaying artifacts and articles that focus on “20 Years of Mustangs Heritage.”

The “20 years of Homecoming” board is currently up and is displaying pictures from past homecomings as early as 2002.

LRHS Media Specialist Jill Mullins said, “We have accomplished many things in twenty years and to update the media center is to re-visit the history of the school.  The media center needs to be dynamic to reflect those accomplishments and to show what happened in the past.”

Mustangs Ahead media center coordinator junior Morgan Deglopper said, “I really enjoy re-vamping the media center this year and believe that we can make it something modern and enjoyable for the students.  We just put up the homecoming board this week and I believe people will like seeing the pictures throughout the years.”

The Media Center Coordinators hope to make the media center as inviting as possible.  Deglopper said, “We want people to walk into the media center and see something new.”

The plans for the media center continue to expand as the coordinators gather new materials to fully update the space. A calendar that displays events, meetings, and other school related activities is updated every month by the media center coordinators.
