Lindsey Limbach – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Wednesday LRHS students dressed up to participate in the “We Go Together Wednesday” Homecoming spirit day.

This spirit day was a chance for Mustangs to coordinate their costumes with friends and dress up as things that go together. Some examples included Daphne and Velma from “Scooby-Do,” Cosmo and Wanda from “Fairly Odd Parents,” matching cups of coffee or even just wearing matching clothes.

Junior Lauren McGill said, “I liked today’s spirit day because I got to dress up with my friends.”

McGill dressed up as a police officer and all her friends were robbers. She said she got the idea from her dad, since he is a policeman.

Juniors Kali Reis and Payton Kinney dressed up together as frat boys. Kinney said, “We chose to dress up to show our school spirit and we also wanted to do something different.”

Student Government Association (SGA) member Tayla Rosenthal, junior, is happy with how homecoming week is going so far. She said, “I enjoy seeing everyone dress up and participate in the different days.”

Being an SGA member, Rosenthal is already looking forward to next year’s spirit week and has ideas for different themes.

Thursday’s theme is “Color Day,” so Mustangs are encouraged to wear class colors and show spirit. This year, seniors wear green, juniors wear yellow, sophomores wear blue, freshman wear pink, and teachers wear orange.
