NEWS(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS acapella group will perform at the Aug. 24 Tampa Bay Buccaneers home game.

LRHS chorus director Giselle Panagiotakis, said the students have prepared every day for this performance. They want to make sure that everything goes well, but most importantly that it is a fun, enjoyable experience.

“They have been practicing the National Anthem every day because they are singing a different version that is more difficult,” Panagiotakis said.

This is not MusAng Capella’s first big performance.  Last year they sang at a Tampa Bay Rays game and backed up a performance by classic rockers Foreigner.

Panagiotakis said that they aren’t nervous just yet. “We’re still getting over the first week jitters, so it hasn’t hit us just yet, but it is nerve-racking performing in front of big crowds.”

Panagiotakis said thanks to boosters, the singers not only the national anthem, but they get to watch the game, receive food, and their transportation is paid for, which would usually be $900.
