“I chose this school because of its reputation, and after teaching at the same school for nine years, I think I am learning that as I get older, change is good,” said Haeussler.

Haeussler is excited about getting to know the LRHS culture and teach her new students.

When Haeussler was a child, she knew that she wanted to become a teacher. Haeussler described her experiences over summer break when she would play pretend school and teach her friend and improve her penmanship.

“I just love learning,” she said.

“When I first started teaching world history it wasn’t a choice, but I love world history. When I was in college I took a lot of U.S. history and ancient history classes, and when I came to this school it was sort of my choice to teach it,” she added.

Haeussler is located in room 534 and is optimistic about her first year at LRHS.
