Abby Misiura– Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As the school year begins, checking out textbooks can be confusing for new and incoming students and there a few things Mustangs must know to be prepared.
According to LRHS media specialist Jill Mullins, “Students need to bring their IDs and their faces cannot be covered with stickers or blacked out.” Also, to check out books, students cannot have more than 100 dollars in textbooks already checked out.
She stresses that students must be accompanied by their class and teacher on the assigned date and time to checkout textbooks.
If Mustangs are taking off-campus college courses or off-campus online courses, the school library does not provide textbooks for these students and students should see guidance counselors about how and where to get textbooks if needed.
Mullins also said, “Students will bring back textbooks after they take their final exam for that class.”
If textbooks are not returned or damaged, the replacement fee must be paid before Mustangs are able to walk at graduation.
