Chloe Nelson – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)-  On Wednesday, May 16, the LRHS band finished the 2017-18 school year with an award show, handing out final goodbyes to seniors.

All students were given awards for their accomplishments throughout the year, including marching band, jazz band, and winter guard.

Junior Angela Baldino enjoyed the award show, “It’s nice how we come together to celebrate everyone’s achievements and have fun.”

Members of the band leadership presented the awards show. They were responsible for creating a senior video, packaging the awards, and presenting them to the recipients.

Band director Ron Lambert also presented some students with special awards for their outstanding work, incredible leadership, and creative musicality skills.

Senior Cristina Rosabal received the National School Marching Award. This award recognizes outstanding contributions on the field. It honors the musical contributions and dedication of student leaders whose example inspires others.

The new season is already beginning with new music and choreography. New Mustangs are joining, and veterans are coming back for another incredible show for the 2018-19 school year.
