(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- 2017-2018 was the first school year for many newly hired office staff members.  As the year ends, the share their reflections on their time at the school.

A new face in the LRHS attendance office is clerk Kari Babcock.  She stated, “I love it here and it’s way larger than I am used to. Other than that, it’s not much different from my last job. The staff has been super friendly, and I love the community.  On a day-to-day basis, I answer the phones, deal with students signing in and out, write tons of blue and pink passes, and unfortunately detention slips sometimes.  I plan on being here next year.”

Administrative assistant Kristine Dittman stated, “I really enjoy working here. The teachers, students, and staff are all wonderful.  I answer phones and answer as many questions as I can.  Everyone’s been great and me trying to remember who everyone is, is another thing because there’s a lot of people here.  Also, I make sure there is a teacher or a sub in a classroom. I feel blessed working with such great people.”

The new LRHS assistant bookkeeper is Kristen Tambe.  “My favorite thing has been getting to meet all of the nice people I work with and all of the students,” she said.  “Although I’ve been a bookkeeper for a long time, but I’ve never worked in a school setting so learning more about the ins and outs of school book-keeping has been cool.  It’s different from my other job because now I have set hours and guaranteed summer off which is nice.”
