(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The Mustangs’ first football game of 2018, the Spring Game, will start at 7 p.m. on May 11 at Booker High School.

The football players have been preparing for this game since April 23. New head LRHS football coach Christopher Culton is looking forward to the new season, and that he hopes to involve school groups outside the athletic department in activities such as parking and tailgating.

Culton said, “I’m excited for our Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program and our FFA club to join us for the game day festivities in the fall.”

Varsity football player junior Chris Korakos, junior, said, “I’m pretty confident that tomorrow we could come home with a win. Everyone has been doing everything they can to prepare for this game.”

It’s not only football players who are looking forward to this game.

Sophomore varsity cheerleader Ally Ellis said, “I am excited to be on the varsity cheer team this year and cheer at the football games. I am looking forward to a great football season.”
