Hayes DuJardin – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This summer LRHS will host a basketball camp for both boys and girls entering second through ninth grades.

This camp is open to all skill levels and will be from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.  Mustangs head coaches Melanie Johnson and Jeremy Schiller will be the camp directors.

The ultimate goal of this camp is to help kids work on their basketball skills as well as their skills of meeting new friends.

The camp will also have assistance from all varsity and junior varsity LRHS basketball players. Sophomore Keon Buckley, a varsity player, plans to volunteer for the camp this summer.

Buckley said there are many benefits with this camp, “One day these kids might play for our basketball team, so I give them good lessons to accomplish that goal.” Buckley also gets community service hours for volunteering.

The camp will cost $140, or $164 with lunch provided. The camp will be help on four weeks: June 11-14, June 18-21, June 25-28, or July 9-12.
