(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Parent Association awarded scholarships to two outstanding seniors, Emma Price and Taylor Trevithick.

This parent association said these “exclusive” scholarships were awarded to only students who stood out among the applicants. All applicants had high GPA’S, hundreds of community service hours, and compelling letters of recommendation.

Parent Association member Jackie Breiner said that winners embodied all the aspects of the LRHS’ mission statement, “Students who recognize and achieve their maximum potential through academic excellence, personal integrity, and responsible citizenship.”

Each winner was awarded a $1000 scholarship.

Price was honored to receive the award, “I was excited to receive the scholarship, it was a long process to apply but it paid off. I plan to use the money in college.”

Trevithick was surprised to find out she was a winner, “We found out at senior awards night this past Tuesday that we won the award, it was a complete surprise. I am appreciative for this scholarship and I am glad to have won it alongside one of my great friends, Emma Price.”
