(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS senior Jenna DiDomenico is an outstanding senior, graduating with over 1,000 community service hours. DiDomenico was unaware that she has the most community service hours in the entire school.

“I never started high school with the intent to get the most service hours. I just like volunteering and giving back to my community. I have been involved in a lot of community service clubs, such as Key Club and Lakewood Leaders,” said DiDomenico.

The highest Bright Futures scholarship requires 100 hours. Mustangs with over 300 hours are recognized with a cord at graduation.

“I get the majority of my hours by volunteering with my church,” said DiDomenico. “All four years, I have served at my church in childcare for two hours every Sunday.”

DiDomenico also works at her church’s summer camps, which include 10-hour days. In addition, she has gone on two mission trips to New Mexico and Scotland. “My favorite community service projects have been my mission trips. I loved travelling and being able to give back that much to my community,” said DiDomenico.
