(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Friday marks the 2018 LRHS National Honors Society (NHS) inauguration.  On Thursday the newest NHS inductees had a rehearsal.

This rehearsal allowed students to practice how they will be lined up and figure out seating arrangements for the ceremony. As the final step in the induction ceremony, students will participate in a candlelight ceremony to finalize their induction.

Sophomore inductee Manoela Dos Santos said, “I’m looking forward to the induction ceremony, and I think the rehearsal ceremony will be very helpful for the inductees.”

The formal ceremony takes place Friday night and following the ceremony is a celebratory dinner for new members.

The dress code for the ceremony is formal. “Girls should wear a dress and guys should wear a nice dress shirt and slacks,” said senior and NHS President Kyle Wray.

NHS advisor Mary Ellen Eskett said the rehearsal was “like a trial run, it allows us to make sure everything goes smoothly.”
