Rachel Lamoureaux and Olivia Loop – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The annual Bradenton Herald Golden Herald ceremony is Thursday, April 12.
The Golden Herald Awards program originated in 1978 by the Bradenton Herald to honor outstanding Manatee County high school seniors for noble service to their schools and community.
LRHS Golden Herald coordinator and English teacher Candice Delazzer said, “The Golden Herald is a great way for the community to recognize seniors for their service to their school and their community. It’s great for students who have done exceptional service projects. I just wish more students would apply because we will have up to 30 spaces that we can nominate students for. Scholarships goes to the winner and a smaller scholarship goes to the one honorable mention award recipient.”
One Golden Herald Award winner and one honorable mention award recipient will be selected in each of 15 categories.
