(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Last week’s LRHS blood drive collected donations from 100 donors, including students and adults.  In addition to other duties, the blood drive committee helped by signing donors in and out.

LRHS blood drive committee adviser Rebekah Lester said, “The blood drive from February’s blood drive went to Miami after the school shooting. You really do make a difference.”

Lester said the blood drive committee is very grateful to attendance clerks Darla Walker and Kari Babcock for tracking the students who left class to donate blood and who volunteered throughout the day.

A big thank you goes out to the custodians for set up and clean-up for the blood drive, she said, and offered a “shout out to our staff” for being patient with scheduling.
