Bailey Wegenast – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Tuesday the LRHS National Honor Society (NHS) held a meeting to welcome their new members.

The meeting gave the newcomers an idea of what NHS is about and who the officers are.

Graduating members also attended the meeting and were told to turn in their volunteer hours no later than Wednesday, April 25.

The next event for NHS is scheduled for April 19, when members will discuss the annual induction ceremony.

The induction itself is set for April 20.

Incoming member sophomore Zian Mahfuz shared what she is most excited for about NHS, “The opportunity to work with other members and just the experience of being in a nationwide club.”

NHS is a great feature on college applications and can be a good source of volunteering.
