(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS football team’s spring season began their conditioning Tuesday. There’s only one game played during the spring season.   This year’s game will be played against Booker.

Spring football training is officially from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday for the next three weeks. According to the new head coach Christopher Culton, “A conditioning practice consists of little instruction, mainly so guys can get back into the short burst recovery aspect of the game, since football shape differs from most sports.”

Culton is eagerly anticipating the game, his first as the LRHS football head coach.

“Life is not the number of breaths you take, it’s the number of moments that take your breath away,” he said. “That’s what this spring football game will be like for me.”

With the season so close, Culton has many coaching plans, “We are going to work with what we can do to get better. We are not worried about stuff that has happened in the past. I’m excited to meet with (LRHS band director) Mr. (Ron) Lambert and to begin coordinating with him as well.”
