Olivia Grant – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) -With prom right around the corner the anticipation for the big night is growing and what is supposed to be a fun night may be nerve racking. A little planning can help make the night more easy and enjoyable.
When arriving at prom, students should expect photograph opportunities, music, dancing, and food. Students should also know that it is not a full meal but rather a serve yourself set up of the following appetizers, desserts, and beverages.
The menu includes –
- Vegetable Spring Rolls with Sweet and Sour Sauce
- Coconut Chicken, Horseradish Orange Marmalade
- Grilled Vegetable Flatbreads
- Cheese Pepperoni Flatbreads
- Cheese Flatbreads
- Dessert Stations such as Lemon Bars, Creme Puffs, and Fruit Tarts
- Beverage Stations, which include Water, Soda, and Coffee.
When they buy their tickets, students receive some helpful hints for prom. School administrators say there will be breathalyzers at the administration’s discretion; both small bags and group vehicles are subject to searches; and all students, as well as guests, will need IDs.
Senior AmeliaBelle Dasovich said, “Plan, and time everything very carefully. If you’re going to go anywhere before, dinner, or pictures, make sure you know how long it is going to take so you have enough time to get to prom.”
Prom is scheduled for 8 p.m., April 13 at the Sarasota Hyatt.
Senior Matthew Dugan said, “Don’t be afraid to embarrass yourself on the dance floor, walking around the room is not how you want to remember your night.”
