(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Mustangs may wonder where the time has gone. It seems like just yesterday the school year was starting.

The year is coming to a quick end and the end of third quarter is almost here. Third quarter ends March 15.  There is no school on March 16 because it is record day.

Senior Kirstyn Redding said, “I never believed people when they told me that high school would fly by, but it definitely has.”

This time of the year is always a bittersweet moment for seniors.

Senior Taylor Butler stated, “I am ready to go on to new beginnings and see bigger and better doors open. I will miss my friends but can’t wait to meet new ones.”

Seniors should remember to keep their grades above at least an 80 percent for third and fourth quarters so they can be exempt from exams. They should also make sure they have any senior fees paid so they can graduate.

This time of the year can be exciting for lowerclassmen since they are moving up. Junior Cameron Noel said, “Junior year has been good so far, but I’m excited to finally be a senior.”

Sophomore Phoebe Bond said, “This year has gone by so slow for me. I think I’ve already caught senioritis!”

Freshmen are finishing their first year of high school, so they still have many opportunities ahead of them.

Freshman Ally Pascarella stated, “High school is a lot better than middle school. This year has been fun meeting new friends, but I’m ready to be a sophomore. It will be nice not being known as ‘fresh-meat.'”
