(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)-  Globally recognized pianist Lin Ye performed classical piano pieces in the LRHS auditorium Tuesday. The auditorium was packed with most LRHS fine arts students, creating a huge, welcoming audience.

“I thought he did a really great job. I liked the first piece the best because of how dramatic and fast it got,” Said freshman Lora Brasfield.

Sophomore Daniel Gorny agreed.

“It was overall a good performance, good music,” he said. “The student player was really good. Impressive for a sophomore.”

Lin performed for about 40 minutes including pieces such as technical works by Franz Liszt, and double movement by Claude Debussy.

The students had prepared questions to ask Mr. Ye after his performance.

Lee Dougherty Ross, the co-founder of the Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota, said the students were extremely attentive as Ye performed his sophisticated repertoire.
