(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS’ Lakewood Leaders community service students have the opportunity to volunteer at the fifth annual Parrish Chili Cook Off, which is hosted by the Parrish Foundation 9 a.m. -1 p.m. Saturday, March 3 to raise money for nonprofit organizations in the Parrish area.

Lakewood Leaders has 10 available slots left for volunteers.

The cookoff is being held to raise funds and give grants to nonprofit organizations that operate in the Parrish area.

The volunteers will be able to help with setup, admissions, running supplies to teams, photography, and cleanup.  Among these student volunteers is LRHS sophomore Christopher Georgas.

“I am excited to help give back to the community,” said Georgas, “I think there will be a good turn out.”
