(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS was exceptionally well represented by the Mustang winter guard this weekend at Riverview High School. The team competed against many other guards and placed second on both days.

The group performed their show “Too Good at Goodbyes” twice this weekend in front of a panel of judges while the crowd cheered them on. The performers showcased their talents in dance, sabre, rifle, and flag.

The Winter Guard competed against four other guards at the Friday show, and another nine guards on Saturday. Although the groups were trying to beat each other, they showed support for one another.

“For a competition, everyone was really nice to each other,” said freshman Ashley Pascarella. “Having two competitions one day after the other was tiring, but I had a lot of fun.”

The group will continue to work on and finalize their show during practices this week, and they will have another competition this Saturday, March 3 at East Lake High School.
