Cedris Bullard – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS’s Mini-Mustangs program will begin registration in March for the 2018-19 school year.

To be a part of the Mini-Mustangs a child must be 4-5 years old. The Mini-Mustangs learn different techniques to prepare them for grade school, such as recognizing letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and being able to be independent.

Mini-Mustangs teacher Cassidy Schutte will be there to help the Mini Mustangs succeed.

The Mini-Mustangs also have the students from the Early Childhood Education program (ECE) at LRHS to help them progress in the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program. The children will participate in daily centers that focus on different topics such as literature, math, science, and art.

The Mini-Mustangs have a private, kid friendly playground, their own garden that they can learn to grow, fun days, and some field trips.

Mini-Mustang 5-year-old Jackson Soles stated, “I like to play with the Legos and having lunch. I like playing with all my friends, too.”

Anyone with questions or concerns can contact the LRHS front office to speak with Schutte.
