Girls drop first lacrosse match

Anna Stock – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The boys and girls’ lacrosse team played their first ever home games Feb. 20 against Sarasota Riverview High. Both teams played a strong game, however Riverview took home the win in both games.

The Lady Mustangs lost 18-0. Sophomore

Taylor Snyder described the game, “It was super intense, and we gave it our all throughout the whole game. Obviously, we didn’t win but that only makes us work harder because we have a whole season ahead of us to redeem ourselves, so even though I’m disappointed, I’m excited for what’s to come.”

The boys lost to the Rams 15-4.

Senior Matthew Dugan explained, “It was a learning experience for both teams, but I think when the team gets better chemistry we will be able to play more efficiently and win some games.”
