Located in Gainsville, UF is home of the Florida Gators. This nationally recognized school has a 38% acceptance rate and had many applications turned in for the upcoming summer and fall term.

Around 34,553 students applied to UF.

Senior Samantha Harris was one of LRHS seniors who were accepted into UF.

“I was extremely excited when I found out,” she said.

A number of Lakewood Ranch seniors applied to UF to continue their education.

“When I was accepted, right away I already felt like a Gator,” said senior Sarah Watts. “I was so excited that I fell to the floor.”

Kelly Kisida said, “I was extremely excited as I have always wanted to go there.  I lived in Gainsville for ten years, so I know the area fairly well and my dad went to UF so that is a big reason on why I really wanted to go there.”
