(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The 2018 LRHS baseball season is here. The first game of the season is approaching, and the team is getting ready to play.

The LRHS baseball team had no preseason conditioning; however, their regular season practices started this week.

Sophomores Myles Kaitz and Tyler Aberg played on the baseball team last season and know what previous practices have been like.

“You basically stretch,” Kaitz said, “warm up passing the ball around, then some inside and outside field drills to improve skill, and lastly we end with hitting.”

Aberg is ready for the upcoming season, “I’m excited to start. A lot of good players have quit over the years and especially last year, and I’m ready for an opportunity for myself and smaller team to prove ourselves.”

Head coach Ryan Kennedy is also ready for the upcoming season, “I’m excited to work with new players and talent. I look forward to coaching a different team and seeing how far we can get this season.”
