Nicolette Ngov – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This Friday, Feb. 9, LRHS HOSA students will compete in region five competitions at Keiser University in Sarasota.

HOSA is a national organization that seeks to empower students to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience.

Compoetition events will inlcude Medical Innovation, Creative Problem Solving, and Public Health.

LRHS sophomore Kara Smith said, “I am super excited, but stressed for Friday. My team and I have been working really hard to perfect our skit on teen dating violence and I can’t wait to see how everything will turn out.”

Those who place top three in their event get to move on to the state competition in April at Orlando.
