(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – College is often a topic of excitement to discuss. After all, it is the goal most high school students have in common. Teachers and staff around LRHS shared their college experiences to help benefit upcoming Mustang graduates.

Math teacher Amy Adams attended Gardner Webb University in North Carolina. She recalls living in the dorms and creating new friendships that would last for a lifetime.

“My favorite thing was the campus, and walking to class,” Adams stated, “the school was in North Carolina, so the scenery was incredible!”

Adams explained how this was the first of four colleges that she attended, however it was her favorite. “If I could go back and do it again, I would!”

Guidance clerk Sara Klene recalled her studies at the University of South Florida.

“It was a very fun and memorable experience overall.” She exclaimed how her University had a very active student government which encouraged her to be more involved in the school.

Klene preferred to stay close to her hometown, therefore USF made for the perfect college.

Math teacher Catharine Franek attended Florida Southern college. She excitedly remembered her adventures at her college. “The classes I took were very difficult because I was a chemistry major. Other than that, I think I enjoyed college a little too much!”

Franek claims that she strongly disliked the food her school served, but loved the people. She claims that her and her friends would constantly go to theme parks together.
