Jenna Hernandez – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Key Club is starting February by offering students opportunities to volunteer in a number of upcoming events. Senior Erika Roja said, “Key club gives students opportunities to participate in long-term community service projects. Everyone is welcome and has a chance to help the community.”

Some upcoming Events are:

Gene Witt Father-Daughter Dance: Feb. 2, 2018 at 6-8:30p.m. Gene Witt Elementary School, 200 Rye Rd E, Bradenton. Helping set up and take down the dance. Volunteers will also be helping with refreshments and the photo booth.

Gene Witt Learning Night: Feb. 8, 2018 at 5:30-7:30 p.m. Gene Witt Elementary School, 200 Rye Rd E, Bradenton. Greeting families at the entrance with a program and assisting students at the book stations and snack table.

Myakka Elementary Valentine’s Day Dance: Feb 8, 2018 at 6-9p.m. Myakka Elementary School, 37205 Manatee Ave, Myakka City. They will be decorating and cleaning up. Some people will be serving food, helping with the photo booth, and more!

The Key Club meets 2:30 p.m. every Tuesday in LRHS art teacher and Key Club adviser Terry Thompson’s room, number 509.
