(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Mustangs for Kids has reached a prestigious achievement for Shriners Childrens’ Hospital.

They raised a grand total of $6,082.71 for the kids, surpassing every other high school who has done a dance marathon in honor of Shriners and the University of South Florida.

President of Mustangs for Kids Alyssa Morford said, “I am beyond excited with how successful Mustangs for Kids was this year. As the inaugural year at LRHS, we were not sure what response we would get.”

Mustangs for Kids adviser Jeanine Livingston called the night a success.

“The Mustangs for Kids club officers did an amazing job,” she said.  “They surpassed their fundraising goal and raised the most money of any first mini-dance marathon at a high school.”

Prizes distributed to those who showed off their best dance moves, escaped an escape room the fastest, and completed a picture challenge.

Morford added, “I can’t wait to see how this club grows in the years to come.”

For the first year of Mustangs for Kids and the dance marathon, it was a great turn out.
