(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Winter Guard is starting off the season right after Saturday’s results at the Plant City High School’s Premier Show competition.

The Winter Guard took home second place in Class B with a score of 47.02 and a rating of “Excellent.”.

Sophomore Cassidy Ditsworth is very proud of her performance.

“We work hard every week and push harder everyday day to get better, and it paid off,” Ditsworth said. “We are really proud of our feedback from the judges, too.”

Even though the next performance isn’t for a month, the girls are pushing to improve and fill in as much work as possible for a complete show to present to the judges.

“There will be a lot of long and tiring practices, but it will all be worth it for championships,” explained sophomore Kenzie Horner.

The next competition is Feb. 23 and 24 at Riverview High School.
