(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Thursday night was the girls’ varsity soccer senior night.  It was the last game of the season before the district championship tournament.

The game was at 7 p.m. at home against Palmetto High School and ended with an 8-0 win for the Mustangs.

For senior night, the under-classmen put together gift bags for all the seniors that had Cheesecake Factory gift cards and mini soccer balls; they also made two posters for each senior and had Chick-fil-a, pizza, and cookie cake that read, “We love our seniors.”

The 2018 seniors were Sydney Wicks, Caitlyn Klein, Noelle Kourakos, Maddie Mirandilla, Karen Kay, Shyanne Madison, Haley Moreland, and Faith Schyck.

Madison said, “It is fun, but it takes a lot of focus and dedication.  When you play for Coach Guy Virgilio he will help you achieve your goals, but when he wants something done he wants it done right.”

Madison in now a Shorter University commit and is excited to continue her soccer career through college.
