Arts Collaboration urges problem solving

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The Arts Collaboration Club is learning how to solve problems in a creative manner. They are focusing on the environment, specifically recycling. Even people who are not in the club can help.

The program is focusing on a main goal this year, to get everyone to understand the importance of recycling.

LRHS art teacher Terry Thompson said, “There isn’t a place far away, eventually all the trash that is being thrown away isn’t going to have a place to go and it could end up in your backyard.”

This program has been going on for four years and there are currently 16 people in the class.

Thompson said she wants “students who can find solutions on their own and create actions.” The students in the club try to help the janitors out with recycling.
