(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – As LRHS drives into its second semester many students, especially seniors, may worry about exams.

Those seniors got some good news from the district office. The requirements for seniors to be exempt from exams has changed. The original requirement was earning an 86% or higher in both quarters of a course in order to be exempt from the exam in that class.

The new requirement for exemption is 80% or higher with the exclusion of state mandated EOCs. This can be seen as a huge relief for some LRHS seniors.

Senior AmeliaBelle Dasovich said, “I think that this is a good change and will help a lot of students that are struggling with higher classes such as AP. It will also have a positive impact on our GPA’s overall.”
