(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS French Club is starting for the year.  French Club will be open to anyone interested in learning about the French language.

In past years, students in the French Club have competed in a French competition called,”Congres,” but this year, the French Club will not be competing because the club is restarting later than usual.

LRHS French teacher Sarah Lowery said, “We are hoping to have a consistent group, more so than a certain number. However, we’re hoping that we’ll have a large enough group to continue some big events and big activities.”

Ava Botko, sophomore, is the president, Samantha Zappala, sophomore, is vice-president, and Makayla Garretson, freshman, is the historian of the LRHS French Club this year.

As on the plans for the rest of the year, the French Club is trying to figure out some fun activities, and, they are also planning on doing some community service acts.

French Club will meet every other Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. in room 555.
