McKenzie Mazzella – Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Last Thursday, Dec. 7 was LRHS’ Junior Reserved Officer Training Corps’ (JROTC) first rifle meet of the 2017-18 season.

This was a county meet held by LRHS at Manatee High School. Four schools competed: Braden River, Manatee, Palmetto and LRHS.

The Mustang A-team placed fourth and the B-team place third. The Mustangs’ next meet is Jan. 18.

Rifle coach and JROTC instructor Sgt. Bill Cassidy said, “The upperclassmen on the team need to work on shooting up to their potential. If they shot like they normally do at practice, they would have placed, too.”
