(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Silver Stars Dance Team performed at half-time of Tuesday night’s boys basketball game.  They performed their pom routine, which they will be performing at national competition in February.

For sophomore Sophia Chivas and freshman Gigi Miles, it was their first time performing at a basketball game. Chivas said, “I was really nervous at first, but I really enjoyed dancing at the game and I can’t wait to perform at the next one.”

Miles commented, “I had a lot of fun dancing with my team at the game, and I’m really glad we were able to dance at the game because it will help us prepare for nationals.”

The coach looked happy while watching her dancers perform. Silver Stars dancer sophomore Brooke Martin was watching as well with an injured foot and said, “Even though I injured my foot and was not able to dance, I really enjoyed watching my team and I think they did a really great job.”
